"In This Corner" NES film

I just came across this video today and thought it was awesome. It's a 10 minute short film about a kid who tries to beat Mike Tyson's Punch Out on the NES. It's pretty well made, and they did a great job of recreating the 1988 look and feel.
I never did beat Mike Tyson. But I do remember my brother Kevin beating him on several occasions. He probably still has that code memorized to play against him.
Watch "In This Corner" here.

Wii Experience

Wii.com has released some new videos of people playing the Wii for the first time (at least it looks like their first time to play). These are the most interesting Wii videos I've seen yet from Nintendo. They are realistic gameplay experiences, as opposed to some of their earlier promo videos that showed off wildly exaggerated movements from people playing the Wii. Check out the new Wii Experience videos here.

Dirk on NBA Live 07 cover!

Dirk Nowitzki will be on the cover of EA's NBA Live 07...but only in Germany. Tony Parker and Boris Diaw will share the cover on copies sold in France, Pau Gasol in Spain, and Tracy McGrady will be featured on the North American and all other regions.
I am still undecided as to weather or not I will buy a basketball game this year for the XBOX 360. NBA Live 07 and NBA 2K7 are both shaping up to be great games with some improvements over last year's versions. If Dirk was on the North American release of Live 07, I think I would definetly buy it (I'm a huge Dirk fan). But, I'll wait and see how the reviews are for the two games before I make my decision on which game to get...

The Wii's Virtual Console pricing

The Nintendo Wii will officially be released in the U.S. November 19th for $249.99.
The Virtual Console- the place to download classic games- will sell NES games for $4.99, SNES for $7.99, and N64 games for $9.99. I think these prices are very reasonable. Some say it's are a bit high, but I disagree. Considering the Xbox Live Arcade sells all of its games for either $5 or $10, and the iPod games are selling for $4.99, these classic games from Nintendo are selling at the price point one would expect. Plus, the quality of games coming from Nintendo's classic library will be worth their dollar.

the Bible goes web 2.0

ebible.com just recently launched its full website. The server it's running on must be slow though because I haven't been able to access it since the full site launched. But I had used it some while it was still in beta form and find it to be very useful. You can easily search by keyword, topic, or browse specific verses from several translations of the Bible. A neat feature is the ability to bookmark favorite passages, and comparing and reading what other verses people have bookmarked. I'll write more about ebible.com after I have had a chance to use it some more.
